I’m writing this post on my iphone, in Thailand, on 1 2 Call, a local Thai cell provider.

This was made possible by a hardware sim card unlock I bought from a cell phone store. I was wandering around Central World, randomly looking at HTC phones and I found a factory unlocked iPhone for only $1000usd!

One thing led to another and I wound up buying a simple hardware sim unlock that fits in the iPhones sim card slot with any other sim card. The results is voice and data not on any GSM network!

It works and it is awesome. It was 1500 baht for the unlock card, 50 baht for the sim and I put 200 baht on my prepaid plan. So about 60 bucks in total. Not cheap but definitely awesome.
