Valentine's Day was a huge success at Sonar nightclub. Another Level Promotions (www.anotherlevel.ca) did an outstanding job with producing the concert with Massari. More than 500 people came out to see the concert and had a night full of romance and good music.
Hannah Lee opened for Massari with two songs - her first song was sung accapella (Norah Jones - Don't Know Why), with her second song following (Alicia Keys - If I Ain't Got You). Many friends and fans were cheering her on as she debuted her first live performance opening for Massari.

There is nothing I like better than giving a gift to someone that I think they will just love. Coming from a big and ever expanding family I happily have a long list of gifts to buy and thought I'd get some ideas from you all and share some of mine:
For the chefs in your family - good knives from Kasumi if you want to splurge or Henckels are a bit more affordable.
For wine lovers - a good wine opener, I think Screwpull is a great one.
For the gals - a day at the spa together is always a treat especially if you can go together.
Tickets - a night out on the town with friends or family are always something to look forward to doing together.
This idea came from Vitamin V magazine:
star bright
Know someone who's a star waiting to be born? For Christmas, you can give them their name in lights.
The Star Registry will name a real star anything you want. Can't decide what their star name should be? You can get them a gift certificate and they can name the star themselves.
In the custom package ($54), the Registry will send a certificate with the star's name, the date, the coordinates and a personalized star chart.
In the deluxe package ($139), they'll send a frame and an official wallet sized card - because your friend needs to be able to prove their star ownership when they're out and about.

Following in Ray's spirit of holiday cheer, I thought I'd list some of the great things I love about Vancouver in December.
Bright Nights in Stanley Park - ride the train with your kids and enjoy a hot chocoloate afterwards. Monies raise will go to the Burn Fund.
See the Trees at Hotel Vancouver, underneath the Pan Pacific Hotel, at Ambleside in West Vancouver.
Then there are the beautiful lights on St. Paul’s hospital and the Whistler/Blackbomb village are stunning.
I always do high tea at the Wedgewood Hotel with my Mother and the Sutton Place Chocolate Buffet with the girls. Other good tea places are Secret Garden in Kerrisdale and The Urban Tea Merchant in Park Royal, West Van.
November 19th Heritage Christmas starts at Burnaby Village.
VanDusen Garden's Festival of Lights runs Friday, December 9 - 31 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (Closed on Dec. 25). 5251 Oak Street (at West 37th Avenue). Free Parking available and children under six are free. Advance tickets are available ($8 and under) at www.festivalboxoffice.com, or call 604-257-0366. VanDusen Gardens.
Volunteer at the Food Bank, Salvation Army or the Triage Centre for their Christmas Hampers and dinners this year.
