Vancouver Corners: The Little Railway That Could
By Shane Birley on August 1, 2004 - 7:11pm
Vancouver's Downtown Historical Railway has cool benches. They are made of rail car wheels! Unique and very Vancouver. This bench can be found at the Science World station stop.
Playland's Rollercoaster

Taken from the 135 bus going along Hastings.
Three Kites Flying Over Vanier Park
By Richard Eriksson on July 25, 2004 - 10:36pm
The kite flyer had excellent control of the three kits, and he landed them standing up (the kites, not the flyer, although he too was standing). He flew the kites alternately in formation and independently: it was if it were an airshow but instead of airplanes, kites. There was a perfect amount of wind in the day, both for kite flying and walking around, but still sunny enough for people to enjoy the outdoors. Anybody from outside Vancouver who thinks of the city as having a rain-only reputation has not experienced the weather in the last two weeks.
Vancouver Corners: Popcorn at The Fifth Avenue Theatre
By Shane Birley on July 25, 2004 - 12:59am
This popcorn had better have some kind of mutated radioactive waste in it because I really could use some super powers right about now...like, restraint.
