Vancouver MLS Home Search
The internet has greatly expanded the search for homes by home buyers and sellers. You can find a list of available homes for sale on the MLS system from the comfort of your home. RealtyLinkOnline, mls.ca and many other Realtors's websites are easily accessible to the public.
MLS Search criteria
You first determine the city you are interested in, your budget and the type of home you are looking for. You then select the number of bedrooms and bathrooms to search. Once you enter your criteria and press the search button, you will get a list of homes currently listed for sales on the market.
For neighborhood information, and recent activities in a neighborhood your are interested, you will need to contact a local Realtor for guidance. Not all realtors are buyer specialists. Some top producers are concentrating on listing homes for sale only, and they may not be the ones to help you looking for a home to buy.
Working with a Buyer Agent
When you are looking for a home to buy, you are better of working with a buyer specialist who is your Buying Agent. A Buyer Agent is committed and dedicated to work with their home buyers. As a serious home buyer, you get the personalized service from your Buyer Agent. You'll get daily listing up-dates and prompt advice on any new listings meeting your requirements.
You should always talk to 2 or 3 local Realtors who are buyer specialists, and choose one you feel comfortable working with. Using a Buyer Agent will likely result in you finding the home you like.
