The 3rd Annual Grassroots Wedding Fair is taking place on April 21st, at The Hive in Vancouver. The event is to celebrate artisans and local and sustainable businesses. By offering this event we are demonstrating to those who may not otherwise choose eco-friendly options that green choices are easy to make and the quality and service exceeds expectations and creates great karma for weddings. For those who are already well aware of sustainability issues we want to provide to them local businesses who can help lower their wedding footprint.
This year we will be having two wedding shows. The spring show will be much smaller and only showcase approximately 15 vendors. The costs for attending are much lower and the setting will be much more intimate. It gives us a chance to showcase spring themed eco-friendly DIY design ideas as well.
The purpose of this wedding fair is to celebrate the local community and offer sustainable choices that benefit everyone. Weddings are a big industry and we want to remind people that their commitment to one another can be celebrated with a more gentle and meaningful celebration.
Cost of the fair is $8.00 with $2.00 of that going to the Vancouver Food Bank.
