Google's Chrome showing U/V on it....

This is how it looks...

So - what happened to the Google browser launch???

By Ray on September 2, 2008 - 12:03pm

Welcome to 'Browser Wars' everyone. So far, Google's entry in the dozen-or-so browsers line is a 'no show', and they've removed links to its previously-leaked download site. Mozilla has also said there will be a 3-week or so delay in its next release of Firefox 3's upgrade, and that will also get another session in beta before going 'prime time'.

Looks like everybody's looking over everyone else's shoulders, and revamping their own stuff in hopes of getting the jump on the competition. For whatever it's worth, I don't see anything terribly wrong with Firefox 3, that a little twiddling with the Bookmarks code couldn't cure. So what's all the excitement about? (Yawn...) What excitement? This is about as exciting as three-day-old cow pies, Kiddies. I wouldn't lie to you about that.

Update: -

This just in from Mr. Google.....

Maybe you should read this one for yourselves, everyone, and then you'll know that I'm not just spreading idle gossip. Tomorrow, we see the beta of Google's 'Chrome', the new browser, so says Mr. Google. I can't hardly wait...

Here's a little more on this from the news...and still more here. And yet more here... And now, for a few words from the boss over at Firefox about this...and I must say I enjoyed the description of what Google is and isn't. Right on! This all brings me to my Question Everything which is: "When does the hype end and the happening begin?"
