The 2009 Annual Scotiabank & BC SPCA Paws for a Cause…Walk for the Animals!
Sunday, September 13, 2009, at 10am
Jericho Beach Park, Vancouver
Make it a day for the animals – come rain or shine!
This year, we’re taking our flagship celebrations to a new venue: Jericho Beach Park. Join us!
The walk site opens at 10am, and the walk starts at noon.
There will be lots of fun and excitement for animal-lovers of all ages, including:
- displays from local animal rescue and welfare groups;
- giveaways and treats for your animal companions;
- BC SPCA fashion with compassion gear;
- professional animal photography;
- agility demonstrations;
- food vendors;
- and much more!
Register today at spca.bc.ca/walk and help us raise $950,000 for animals in need. Best of all, the money you raise stays in your local community.
Be a voice for all animals and win great prizes including a trip for two to Maui!
Kids can also win great prizes for fundraising, including a 13" Trek mountain bike, 32GB iPod Touch or Wii games prize package!
Keep checking our website for more great contests on Facebook, Flickr and more!
Paws for a Cause is the largest fundraising and awareness campaign in support of companion, farm and wild animals in BC. This year, 39 communities are participating provincewide. Visit spca.bc.ca/walk to sniff out your local walk.

We are selling two limited-edition sets of four holiday greeting cards to raise money for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society and British Columbia SPCA. The cards present a unique way to give back during the holidays; you are supporting two non-profit organizations, local arts and culture, and presenting sustainable greetings to your friends and family.
A set of four cards costs $10, or buy both sets for $15. Visit www.notestonourish.com to purchase. Cards will be shipped in the first week of November.
